Extending the resources and knowledge of the University of Wisconsin system to the people of Grant County. Education programming includes:
- Agriculture- Group programs and individual consultations provided related to crops, farm management, pesticide certification, live stock nutrition, management and facilities, horticulture, etc.
- Community and Natural Resource Development-Working with local governments civic organizations, business and community leaders to help identify critical local concerns, to set goals and work on solutions to problems. Programs include enhancing community and business developments, protecting natural resources and the environment, and strengthening local government.
- 4-H and Youth Development-Management of the county 4-H club program, youth development in schools and community, leadership and volunteer development.
- Family Living Education-Educational programs focused on parenting skills (including parents experiencing divorce) and family financial management in group settings and individual credit counseling.
- Miscellaneous services: Many resources are available from a resource library covering topics listed above and many others. Info-source telephone and fax system provides information on a variety of topics as well. Education telephone networks link listeners across the state. Satellite programs are received from throughout the U.S. equipment and facilities are coordinated through the extension office.
- Nutrition Education – addresses the needs of the low income in the areas of food and nutrition. Participants in the nutrition education program learn how to choose and fix meals and snacks that are nutritious, safe and affordable, to manage their resources to improve their food security, and to balance the food they eat with physical activity.
